Can replace 3 lamps or be used where there is only one lamp and you don't want to put an adapter on several lamps, is bright, understandable, hot, but has a power-saving effect. The only downside is that while it's lower wattage than the notoriously inefficient Edison bulb, it needs to be bulky to dissipate heat properly, which isn't bad for the price. Just keep in mind that depending on the fixture it can get very hot I would suggest that in most cases it will shorten its lifespan.
