Read! Battery compartment opens, be careful

Great toy, my 3 year old loves it. This is his toy every day. I write and draw on it and it tracks everything I do, but the only HUGE downside is the battery compartment, it just pops open and the batteries can fall out. Not good! In my opinion not quite protection from children. I'd rather have a screw so I don't have to worry about my kid playing with the batteries or the batteries flying out of my mouth. I also have a year old so I always make sure the compartment is closed and the batteries are in. At some point I'll have to tape it off to avoid accidents. I hope the company can fix the battery compartment for future owners. I know I don't want to worry about falling batteries from my son's favorite toy every day. UPDATE: I called the company about the battery box. They first told me to call Revain to fix it, it's not an Amazon issue. I called again, this time I had to argue with them for half an hour about the safety of this item. They offered to replace the item with the same item - no thanks I don't need four batteries in my house. Then they offered me to pick any toy up to $24. Which I declined because they don't have any other toys like this, nice touch but I got the feeling they didn't care what I said. The fact that I was concerned that the child might get the batteries scared me. In general they said that this toy is not intended for a three year old (although my child writes well so he should be able to use this toy), they also don't think there are other younger children in this family. This branch has been opened several times since I've owned it (since Christmas), they weren't too worried about the batteries just falling out. As for me. So please watch your kids with it or do what I do and stick it on. It's a shame because it's a really great educational toy.
