Not left-handed☹️ : Educational electronic toy

I really wanted to love this. It was on my wish list for my son last year. I finally got him one for Christmas, he's almost 2 1/2 now. I thought it was a good age. And it would be if he were right-handed. My son's left hand seems to be the dominant hand and the stylus is on the right side making it difficult for him to use it with his left hand. I'm right handed so I think this is unfortunately just the beginning of the obstacles we will encounter. For kids who are not right-handed, it would be

Poor customer service

************* SHOWS VTECH DON'T CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMER ************* The toy had a leak and the liquid slowly flowed out of the board. At first I thought it might be water or something but later realized it was coming off the board and it's been happening since day one. When I called support they just said your 90 day guarantee is no longer valid and there is nothing they can do. I don't know how harmful this liquid was. For us it was just a waste of money. We recently received "Vtech Activity

I like that I don't go through a LOT of paper and .

You can't go wrong with this model! My 3 year old daughter plays with it all the time. She paints pictures all day and loves that she can paint and erase and paint again. I love that I don't have to rummage through LOTS of paper and worry about having crayons on hand all the time. The most amazing thing about this toy (aside from the artistic aspect) is that it REALLY learns its ABCs and how to spell it correctly. The screen gives exceptional instructions on how to form each letter and is slow…

Perfect for learning to write

We were teaching our 4 year old daughter the alphabet and wanted to start teaching her how to write letters. It's a great and interesting learning tool. She loves it. She doesn't want to study with pen and paper and won't try as hard. At the same time, she likes it very much, she concentrates on her letters and makes a lot of effort to draw them correctly. The best part is that you can easily program a child's name and it will teach them how to spell their name letter by letter. It's also a…

Great for beginning learners

If you can get a working one of these, which luckily we got, it's pretty good. The volume is low and unadjustable, and the battery compartment opens easily, which I like, but can be a hazard for younger or disabled children. The cable seems a little short, but still usable. It would be difficult for a left-hander, but not impossible. A spare pin from an old board solves this problem. It's also a good drawing board. The electronic component can really challenge the beginner in letter recognition

Read! Battery compartment opens, be careful

Great toy, my 3 year old loves it. This is his toy every day. I write and draw on it and it tracks everything I do, but the only HUGE downside is the battery compartment, it just pops open and the batteries can fall out. Not good! In my opinion not quite protection from children. I'd rather have a screw so I don't have to worry about my kid playing with the batteries or the batteries flying out of my mouth. I also have a year old so I always make sure the compartment is closed and the batteries
