Repair of electronic church organs. When I need to troubleshoot multi-channel amps, I usually use the organ's tone generation circuitry as the sound source and feed it into the amp's inputs. But if the organ itself is dead, I need another portable signal source that doesn't depend on a nearby AC power source. This battery powered signal generator works great. The only minor note is that the frequencies are selected by a multi-part rotary switch. This is not a stepless adjustment that can be scrolled through a frequency range like a variable capacitor potentiometer. It is well made and stable, with low noise level.
