I like that this audio generator has a variable output level. It also has a battery indicator that lets you know when the battery is getting low. It comes with a cord with alligator clips that will do most jobs. I use this to create tonal tones for testing room acoustics, so the full range from 20Hz to 20kHz is comfortable. At first it was an adequate tool. I wasn't expecting an NTIS calibrated generator at this price point. That was enough for simple signal tracing and test circuits. Ordered May 2016. Pulled it out yesterday to do some checks and the signal is noisy, unstable and unusable. The guarantee has expired, so there are no special claims. Too cheap to fix. Other comments: The banana plug terminals are not 3/4" apart so the standard double banana to BNC needs to be fitted with an extra ground wire to work

This signal generator is suitable for general diagnostic and testing purposes, but not for high precision calibration or testing. It's beautifully built in Taiwan for BK Precision and is probably identical to the cheaper model I've seen at Revain.
