Generates more silt/algae than regular food
Too bad they didn't make this meal without the little red pellets. My turtle's poop was red and the remaining uneaten red pellets (a few) mostly turned to red goo through the filter. Even after being digested, they don't break down well, forming silt and algae, and the red dye is so strong they even colored the engine in my filters (they're purple instead of blue now)! I have had RES for 11 years now, she is healthy and loves to eat and I would not recommend any additional nutritional work.
