I chose them, not Lucid LS30

Pretty good gaming headset. I had an expensive Turtle Beach PX51 surround sound headphone that broke after 2.5 years. I wanted to stay as far away from Turtle Beach as possible. I bought the Lucid LS30 at the same time they did and chose the Astros because of the weight of the headset and the fold-out mic. The LS30's are heavy (but aluminum, more durable), the mic doesn't rise, and has a very annoying blue LED that lights up in your eye sockets all the time. The overall sound of the LS30 is excellent. Surround sound couldn't tell any difference. This headset is a fantastic replacement. I love that the Xbox One doesn't even require cables to chat. The surround sound isn't as good as my PX51, but it's decent for a stereo. The sound is good for gaming but will probably not be used for listening to music. A nice touch is to mute the microphone. I wish there was a separate game volume slider and individual chat volume slider instead of one slider for both. Turning up the volume will make the game quieter and vice versa. I would also wish there was a bit more volume for both. I have them at 100% volume all the time, and sometimes they're not enough, but maybe it's my Xbox settings? and then put it back again. It's rare, so I don't mind. They're all plastic, what might make them less durable? but i don't care because they seem strong enough and i like how light they are. In the last 4 months I have never had a problem with the durability. The ear pads are decent and I can play for over 2 hours without much fatigue. A lot more time than that in one session and you must get a life. For the price (I bought them for $120) I think they're a good deal and I recommend them.
