Review on πŸ“± Mavic Mini Air 2 Pro Tablet Holder: Foldable Aluminum Extender with Lanyard for DJI Mavic Drones - Must-Have Controller Accessory! by Lauren Miller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect fit for the DJI Mavic 2 Mini, but falls a little short.

This is a very nice and well made bracket that looks like it will last a lifetime. It even comes with a nifty little socket wrench that can be used to adjust the tightening of various mounting screws if needed. Also, this beautiful aluminum alloy bracket is very light. However, it does come with a well-made strap that makes holding the remote a lot easier, even with the very heavy 10-inch CrystalSky display. Also included is a plastic holder for mobile phones or tablets. the quality and durability of the rest of the mount. But since I will be using a DJI CrystalSky display, I'm just saying that I'm sure the mount will fit a phone or tablet. It's just in a whole different class than the main cell phone mount among the controls and joysticks. This bracket is designed for this type of controllers. If such a controller was used on the Mavic 2 Mini, then this mount has a serious disadvantage. The cable from the controller to the display gets blocked when using a CrystalSky display. Instead of using the Hi-Speed USB-C port on the bottom of the display, you must use the micro-USB port on the side of the display . , The mount comes with instructions that point out this issue. The transfer rate for the USB micro port is lower than the USB C port. Initially I thought this would be enough for me to return the mount. That was until I noticed that when I assemble the mount as intended and place it on the controller, the display was upside down. Remember that the bracket is designed to be mounted under the controller. With the Mavic 2 Mini, it is mounted above the controller. However, once I rotated the display bracket so that the CrystalSky display was facing the correct direction, the hole in the bracket was unblocked and I was able to use the correct connector on the CrystalSky display. The only downside to this usage has to do with the locking pin on the mount. The base of the mount has a locking pin that fits into a hole on the CrystalSky mounting plate. This prevents the plate (and therefore the display) from warping. I think you could unscrew the "Bejeebers" from the screw holding the two pieces together, but that's really not the best solution. Overall this is a very good mount for using the CrystalSky display on the Mavic 2 Mini controller. . I am mostly satisfied with the purchase. Not pleased, but pleased. That's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. flk k
