Review on πŸ”’ FC-280PC-22125 Central Door Lock Actuator Motor - 10mm Flat Shaft, D Spindle, Power Locking Repair Engine (4 Pack) by Aaron Kindler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

2003 Toyota Camry 3.0 - turns out I don't need them, but I'll have them handy whenever I feel like it.

I thought I would have to replace the passenger door lock motor (FP). The key that worked with the driver's door, ignition, lock and unlock all doors, did NOT work with the passenger door. After disassembling the door, I found that my problem was that either the key or the FP side door lock cylinder had become so worn that the key no longer fit in the FP side door. When I tried the spare key I had, it locked and unlocked all the driver's side doors AND the FP door side. However, I keep them in case I have problems with the power door locks, which surprisingly hasn't happened in an 18 year old car. I think since I never use FOB and normally only open the driver's side front door with the key, the electric door lock motors didn't have to work too hard and were extremely reliable. Maybe I should have sprayed WD-40 or graphite spray on the passenger door latch for years. Regardless, I gave this 5 stars as these motors were inexpensive and easy to have on hand as door lock motors eventually become a problem. There are some good videos on youtube on how to replace these motors and save a decent amount of money in the process.
