I wasn't sure on size - I'm usually a large or a medium - I went with medium and it was perfect. The length was good for me. (5'4", longer torso which sometimes makes dresses look too short.) This was definitely (EASILY) "work appropriate" length. I paired it with a navy duster sweater for work and flats and it looked great. I also tried it with a jean jacket and it was really cute. There were no worries at all about it slipping down and no bra needed (for me) and it was so comfortable.The fabric is much "heavier" than I'd anticipated and I thought it'd be hot to wear when I first opened it. But the skirt is a little stiff (not in a bad way) so there's plenty of air movement under the skirt and it was surprisingly very cool to wear. Absolutely no need for a slip due to the thicker fabric, which I loved, loved, loved for a really hot day!
