They are great for storing fermentation ingredients.
I'm making a range of hot chili sauces but couldn't find the right proofing weight for a 1 gallon glass jar. Or the scale was just ridiculously expensive. From the photos they looked about the right size, were made of silicone, were flexible, had holes for gas to pass through, but were small enough to contain the contents. So I decided to give it a try because worst case scenario I also have stocks. Well they work great for that purpose. I just wash them in the dishwasher first and then use them in my fermenters.
