Review on Bosch 18SG 5E Concrete Surfacing Attachment by Pop Henneghan

Let me first say that I love Bosch tools. I own several and believe they are some of the best in the business. However, Bosch has missed the target with this protection. First, when using a diamond wheel on concrete, the brushes on the wheel guard do not reach all the way down to cover the wheel. Then the guard gets up from the floor and says nothing, there is dust everywhere. Second, the hose attachment point is not standard. So you need to buy an adapter. This means that the adapter fits onto the vacuum cleaner hose from the large side, but the smaller end has the same diameter as the hose attachment on the protective cover. So the adapter does not fit on the protective cover. I went to a big store and bought a 1 1/4" rubber hitch with clips to make the adapter and safety mount work. After all that the damn thing is off the ground so the guard is useless. Don't bother with the purchase .Bosch should have done a lot better on this product.They just had to make the guard deeper or use longer bristles.Shame on them!Terrible design.
