Review on ViewSonic XG270Q with DisplayHDR - Ergonomic 2560x1440P Monitor with 165Hz, Built-In Speakers, Tilt and Swivel Adjustments by Mike Stoner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You cannot trust the star rating for 6 individual products.

Listed here are 6 separate monitors, each with VERY different specs and capabilities. How can you be sure that the item you are purchasing deserves a 5 star rating when all ratings are collected and averaged? Panel type has a big impact on performance. Furthermore, the presentation of this information appears to be actively misleading. Panel types are a good example of this problem. For some models, the panel type is only mentioned in the comparison matrix in the middle of the page. It's good. although this matrix *changes order as you move between the 6 types and sometimes drops the monitors entirely*. Since you have to click between them to see features not included in the table, it is very difficult to determine which of the 6 features you need. I'm returning the one I bought. Motion blur is awful and undeniably bad for gaming, and this product page didn't say it was to be expected. ViewSonic should separate these products by panel type, or at least list the panel type in the title in a consistent format. Revain should not allow reviews from 6 different products to be combined in this way.

Pros
  • NVIDIA G-SYNC COMPATIBLE: Enjoy uninterrupted gaming with synchronized frame rates, variable overdrive and ultra-low motion blur.
Cons
  • sad outfit
