Looks just like the picture and fits on the bucketless automatic shell even with the top on! And it looks great in my small downtown apartment, like a regular piece of furniture, which is why I bought it. But I live alone and despite using a power tool I wouldn't be able to assemble this thing by myself. I had to call my father for help, and even he was having a hard time. After all, the doors still don't hang straight, but it's hard to tell if that was because the hinges were bent when they arrived or if I tweaked something while trying to build them myself. All in all, this is probably one of the nicest pieces of cat crate furniture, so I still recommend it, but ONLY if you have a very capable person helping with the assembly. Note, however, that curbing the box's garbage smell doesn't do much good! (NOTE: Even the instructions say you need at least two people to assemble this thing, so it's impossible no matter how skilled you are alone!)
