Convenient click in/out - only downside is we used it for a hanging lampshade and our old cord had a detachable sleeve that wrapped around the lampshade's metal ring and then the sleeve kept that ring off away from the lightbulb . This one has one so the metal ring from the lampshade rests on the bulb itself which I hope is ok. We have a 40 watt lightbulb, but it can still get hot. how else do they expect something (a lampshade or a lantern) to be hung from it? If they don't think we're just hanging lightbulbs out of the socket from the ceiling? However, love of the switch is what our old one lacked.
