Review on ๐Ÿ‘ž Black Leather Dr Scholls Harrington Shoes by Brandon Havlicek

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits as expected and very comfortable. (2.5 year update)

I have always worn a size 10.5 and these fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and definitely non-slip. I was stepping out of the rain onto the marble floor and saw someone else slip and fall while being held. The only thing I have to say is that these things will keep your feet EXTREMELY warm. I talk like a hot box. As we head into fall, this is a welcome feature, but I don't know if I'll enjoy it in the summer! I will wait to see how durable they are as durability is only second to comfort on my list of importance. I'll update this review if I eventually buy another pair, but for now I definitely will. UPDATE: 2-1/2 years later I'm still wearing the same pair of shoes. I have a sedentary job and wear them to work almost every day and somewhere on the weekends. A few notes. I put gel inserts in the bottom as the bottom was worn out. Also, I don't unlace them and put them on with a shoehorn so the laces and back really hold. You will see in the picture that the soles are still attached and will not separate. The leather shows some wear that could probably be removed with a polishing kit, but it's also worth noting that I live in the North East so they've salted a lot over the winter and the leather is fine. If I could give that 6 stars I would. UPDATE #2: I've been wearing these black shoes for 4 years and am using a second pair of Dr. Schools. I also bought brown shoes about 1.5 years ago, so black ones are not worn as often as the first 2-3 years. BUT! They're still holding up well! With new insoles they are like new. but still just as comfortable as before. As with all shoes/sneakers I own, I use a metal shoehorn because it always sits behind the heel/achilles tendon, which is the first thing to fail with quality shoes. With them I suspect the first flaw is a thin layer of rubber tread peeling off on the soles, but that has to do with how I take them off (using one shoe/foot to take off the other). Conclusion: I really can't say anything about the quality and durability of this comfortable shoe. This money was well spent.

Pros
  • Memory Foam Cool Fit and anti-compression insole
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
