So I live in a 1 bedroom apartment. Apartment with a total area of about 600 square meters. I have this unit and I keep it in my living room next to the central vents so it can actually work. Living in an apartment can stink. Some of my neighbors smoke. Some are not very good cooks and burn things. But it doesn't matter anymore. Within a week of installing it in my living room, I noticed the air was fresher. My apartment never smells musty. This device is BIG, but not particularly heavy. I didn't want mine on the carpet so I put it on a side table. He's 30 inches tall before I put him on the table, so when I walk up to him, he's my height. There are three settings: Low is fairly quiet and High is fairly loud. I put it on a medium setting, which seems to filter the air in my apartment fairly easily, so I'm happy with that. The outer blue part you see in the photos is an extra extra filter that captures larger particles and helps the inside. devices work better. It's actually a sleeveless sleeve that comes in blue and black. The case is washable so I think if the blue one is dirty enough to wash I'll put the black one on the device. I added a video - it lasts about a minute and I turned off the light so you can see the light on the unit and hear how loud it gets. It was another beautiful thing. The button doesn't rotate or anything - you just press it to change the settings. super easy.
