I've had no luck placing connectors on a CAT6 cable. I've tried half a dozen times and each time one or more wires were not crimped properly the cable became unusable. The specific cable (also purchased from Revain) may have been a factor, but when I bought a better tool locally I was able to crimp the connectors, which worked on the first try. It should also be noted that this tool and its connectors are not of the "EZβ type where the wires are routed through the connector. This complicates the installation of the connector; You must cut the wires to the correct length before inserting them into the connector. It may work better with a CAT5 or CAT5e cable, or with a different CAT6 cable. I do not know. All I can say is that it didn't work for me.
