Works if you do it right.

Very interesting. Okay, so I'm crazy and I shampoo my carpets about once a week because one of my dogs was broken when I got him and couldn't figure out how to get outside. So having a background in carpet bleaching I've tried everything in every combination. I used this product as a last resort because I moved into a house whose cats used it as a bathroom, it has been smelling for years. I used it in the garage, on the garage landing on the carpeted staircase, and in a 7x7 square foot area that I kept covered with a tarp and then carpeted because the smell was so bad I wasn't human could work. Not much in the garage. It dried too quickly and I didn't cover it with a tarp or anything. During landing. I literally poured it on the step, and then washed the remnants of the carpet with the solution, covered it with a towel and a rug. After two days, still damp, I pulled off the towel and washed it, the spot was dry and the smell was gone. Range seven by seven, not so lucky. I washed it with carpet cleaner and covered it with a tarp and the carpet that covered it. Pulled out, it was still damp and smelled like a dead pig. That's probably because he couldn't breathe, and he needs at least some air. I've washed it again with carpet cleaner and still keep it covered with a tarp (no carpet over it) and I'll check in a few days. It doesn't affect the actual visibility of the stains much, but they are stains that any normal person would just rip up on the carpet and start over. I got over it. This isn't my house, and I'm already paying a few thousand a month in rent. I'm just trying to deal with the smell and the smell on the stairs is gone. Zimmer, I'll take it as a win. And keep buying. The miracle of nature does not work. Vinegar with hydrogen peroxide, everything jam, does not work. Bleach, oxygen scavenger and laundry detergent (acts like 50%). I've used other enzyme cleaners from Walmart and Homedepot and they don't work. I literally wanted to buy a new carpet, but that's really not my problem. I just don't want to have a headache in my own home and can deal with the carpet scraps I got from the goodwill equivalent when the smell goes away.
