Review on πŸ₯Ύ Caldera Junior Hiking Boot by Northside by Hector Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They didn't come loose at all after tying and stayed nice and snug

I'm a woman, size 7, and bought them for hiking as I didn't have specific hiking boots before. I didn't want to spend a fortune so I bought them. I ordered a size 7 (you'll need to order 1.5 sizes down if you're trying to fit kids' shoes) but wanted to leave room for thicker socks etc. I was worried they would still be tight but to my surprise they came with loads of extra room inside them without being too big. I tested these boots in water, mud and tough hikes for 4 days and they still came out of the weekend unscathed. For a kid's shoe, the tread on the bottom is impressive and helped me navigate rough terrain without slipping or slipping, even when they were wet. The laces and lace holders were also convincing, they didn't come loose at all after tying and stayed nice and tight. They feel very light, not heavy at all to walk on. Whether you're a woman with a smaller foot size looking to save some money, or you really want them for your kids, I think they're great either way.

Pros
  • 100% suede/mesh
Cons
  • Piggy bank price
