SAVE LIFE AND NECK! You can't go wrong buying this!

This laptop stand is PERFECT! I have spent many years with headaches and neck pain from using my laptop. I don't even know how I found this stand but after careful research I bought it. And oh my! If I had one in 2002, my medical bills would be close to zero. Now I can use my laptop in any room. at any table (even the coffee table in front of my sofa. NO pain! It's pretty damn sturdy and adjustable in a lot of positions! It takes a bit of effort to adjust it, but I'm a 67-year-old woman who has this on mine right side works. My right hand and right arm are weaker than before and of course I'm right-handed. But by stretching out the middle I squeeze the back of the base with my right hand and use the top of my forearm to push off further open, and almost vice versa to close it. The explanation for "close" is a little dubious. You just need to study it first and decide which way is best for you. Strength of joints It definitely seems to take years , until they loosen (which is really how you want them) If you have the stand wide open, open the monitor all the way BUT - I got a heavy clam on the base gelled egt sits as high as it is comfortable to avoid possible wobbling and my monitor is pushed back as far as it will go - I'M PRINTING ON IT NOW and it's absolutely fine! PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS INFLUENCE YOUR PURCHASE DECISION! My setup is unusual and it's just my preference. Most people won't have their stand and laptop wide open anyway. But when you do this, just put something with some weight on the base. Some people ask about the tines getting in the way of comfortable typing. The bottom half of my comp is 9/16" tall and the prongs are just the *smallest* part above that. I put a metal ruler on the computer and the difference wasn't even enough to keep the ruler on the board. It's about to slip off. I don't care about pins when typing. Most of the time my wrists extend beyond the pins - but that's me. Your laptop will NOT slide off - on the stand's surface (and inside the teeth!) which stop objects from moving. To remove it you have to lift the computer straight up - it just WILL NOT slide. Your laptop will also NOT overheat while sitting on this stand. "Bed" to dissipate heat. For me this is a big plus! Best of all, I can now use my laptop while sitting or lying on the couch or in bed - and COMFORTABLE! No eyestrain, neck pain or headaches! And with a little ingenuity, I've been able to read books on my Kindle while my Kindle sits upright on this stand. A lot of people will laugh at this, but hey. At least Entenband isn't involved. I stuck a wooden kebab stick into a 7/16" thick rubber straw (OD) 9" long - the kind you get with oversized reusable plastic cups - sealed the ends with tape and added 2 prongs that stop. computer does not fall off the stand. My Kindle sits on this straw and is very durable. I turn pages with a light finger pressure on the edge and have no problem shifting them around. No one! The straw's rubber sticks to the prongs, my Kindle and the kebab stick, making the straw durable. Nothing rolls. This is just to give an idea if someone wants to use both a laptop and an e-reader on the same hardware. I'm sure others can/will find something else "something". I just had nothing else to use. :) The point is. You can't go wrong with this stand! That's great! (The delivery from this seller was also very fast!)
