Review on 🚗 TOYOTA PTR57-34141-02 TRD Shift Knob (Automatic Transmission, Black) - 1 Unit by Robert Buenconsejo

A very nice update to the standard shift knob. The only reason I give it a 4 is because for $90 Toyota could have used better materials like real leather and anodized aluminum. This particular shift knob is made of leather, plastic with an embossed trd logo on the top and subtle red stitching to give it a nice touch. However, it's a really nice detail that helps bring the center console area together, especially when you add in some custom trim pieces from AJT Design. One installation note I must add is that you must be careful when screwing it onto a factory flash drive. It has plastic threads inside so it's very easy to tear off the plastic if you overtighten. After you tear off the plastic thread, it will not be tightened properly. Simply tighten until it is snug and spins freely, and add a small amount of CA Super Glue to the threads to hold it in place. Do not use Loctite screw lock (red or blue). Over time, the Loctite will attack the plastic and make it brittle. Any store-bought super glue is safe, such as: B. Gorilla Glue or Loctite Ultra Gel Control Superglue.
