I bought this collar to replace my cat's tattered cloth collar. He's not easy to handle, so I didn't try to persuade him to put this new collar on. It takes a cat more patience to buckle it up properly than with a snap collar. Keep this in mind if your cat is a little wild. I gave him a treat after putting it on and the whole experience was instantly forgotten. It's such a soft leather he can't say anything special and the new collar looks amazing! He won't be able to break that and I hope it will be many years before I have to put a new collar on him again!
