I have a Lab Pit mix and we were having a lot of trouble teaching her how to box. She collected things in her old box and shredded them. This included any drawer lids or anything that was too close to her drawer. But homeless, she would get up at dawn every day and bark until we let her out. This new box is great! I was a bit worried about the plastic box as she loves to chew. (large uncut antlers sit in our house for maybe 2-3 days) But she was great at it. The bars and the door are close enough together that she can't get anything out! This is a good solid box. The only thing is that I would like more. She always rolls onto her side when she sleeps, and this cage just isn't big enough to sleep like that.
