The Achilles heel of this product is the locking mechanism of each section. You lock it in place by twisting it, which works pretty well, but it only works when the entire back of the head is fully extended. You can't lock it at different expansion levels, and when you try, the camera twists and wobbles at its center of rotation. I solved this problem just by extending it to the height I needed and taped over the whole damn thing. Not a very good solution.
