Update. separated from the sole on the outside of the right shoe. I'm leaving out my original 5 star review because I still have a pair of Timberland Pro steel toe boots that cost about the same and are over 5 years old and still intact. I bought these shoes because I was looking for lightweight steel toe shoes. Now I work in retail and I don't need a boot that heavy. I think I expected a lot from this product and asked for it to last over a year in the office.
