I consider myself a crayon fanatic. I love trying new brands. So when I saw Cezanne expand her color palette from 72 to 120 colors, I had to try it. The variety of colors is great! There are many shades of yellow, orange, red/pink, purple, teal, and brown. I was very happy to see that they didn't go overboard with the gray like some companies do. Pencils are very easy to layer if you use a light hand. They also buff well and mix well with colorless blender, Vaseline, and Gambol. I have used these pens on a variety of papers from standard 20# printer paper to 67# Bristol smooth and 80# Bristol vellum. Standard 110# card. The pens performed well on all of these papers, again best when building layers slowly rather than with a heavy hand. If you tend to have heavy hands, these sticks will not blend as easily as they are somewhat waxy compared to the oil. So fill in the tooth pretty quickly if you apply more pressure. Overall I am delighted with these pens. . They are easily compatible with prisms with less breakage and dust. Very suitable for both beginners and the most advanced artists/colorists.
