I have it for making tape loops and connections. For general recording I prefer these Maxell Type II tapes and have used them in my Tascam 4-track recorders since I was young. For my purposes, it was now easy to unscrew the case, cut the ribbon, and reseal it to create an endless loop. Whether you're experimenting with tape loops, 4-track, or just want to record onto a cassette in general, this cassette produces a clearer, less boomy or muffled sound than standard Type I cassettes. They're particularly good for music and situations. high sound quality is important. And yes, every tape recorder plays or records them. Special equipment is not required.
