I ordered ½ size smaller than my usual shoes as I will be using them for aqua aerobics in the pool. I wanted to make sure they stay on while I'm actively exercising. However, I found that they fit me better even before I put them on in the pool. The shoes have stretchy elastic laces and a latch to keep the laces secure when worn so I hope they stay on my feet. My recommendation would be to order a full size smaller. As another customer pointed out, they smell like plastic. Fingers crossed that it will dissipate after wearing. They are also very light. A NOTICE. I wore them in the pool and they stayed in place. When wet, they appear to "stick" to the legs. The insole lining comes out and dries quickly. Hoping that removing the liner with each wear will get rid of the plastic smell.
