This GRENFU retractable baby gate has a strong mesh that is softer to the touch than other similar products I have used. It has no threshold. Installed properly, it keeps my crawling grandson, walking toddler, and smaller furry babies safely out of the way of a door. The goal box contained a 1x retractable gate with 2x hardware kits containing: • screws, • positioning templates and • detailed instructions. I needed a screwdriver or drill and a pencil to mark the template. It is equipped with a manual control wheel to open and close the gate with one hand. It's a bit tight at first, but once it breaks it's easier to push and twist. I love the large drawer width, up to 68 inches! They are also 35 inches tall. In general, these gates have many uses. This helps a lot especially when I'm alone with a bunch of kids and need to keep them away from certain places but still be able to keep an eye on them. One downside for me is that it's a bit difficult to install. The pattern helps, but it needs to be accurate so it can be set correctly. My second downside is the price of $71.99 {excluding tax and based on my review!} In my opinion and experience, the cost should be a little lower. Yes, that's a well-made gate that retracts and widens. However, I believe the cost should be around $10-$15 less, making it a little more affordable for everyone. I remember the old adage "you get what you pay for"!
