It's a gas cap! Wow, it looks and feels like a new gas cap. It's in much better shape than my old one, even looks like my old one, only brand new. About ten years ago you could buy a new gas cap for $6 but you couldn't get one with a plastic cap, this is very easy to put on, it took me about 30 seconds to replace the old one with the new one, great! Seriously it's the gas cap, you can buy one with or without a lock, or auto vent or not, presumably this could be why my wife caught fire on both of our 2005 Chevy Impala, I doubt it, but worth a try. I have to restart my computer a bit.
