I wired an ethernet wall outlet with some sort of drop wire and crimped ends and had a terrible time. Everything looked right, but I had no signal at my outlet, so I decided to start over. Bought this 50ft cable, left one end of the factory connector and cut the other off, routed it through the wall from our router/switch and then plugged it into a jack. Went like clockwork. By cutting off the wrapper I can tell that the twisted pairs are of very good quality (more than I can count on for the unmarked junk I've used in the past). This cable is of good quality and fits me perfectly.
