I plugged my iPhone into the USB port and it started charging right away. Easily transfer photos from phone to laptop or SD card. Small and lightweight - fits in your pocket or purse. USB to HDMI is great for extending the screen to an external monitor or TV for watching videos or streaming content. It works with both my MacBook Pro and my husband's PC (XPS). Lacking ports, the XPS 13 is a great accessory with not only 3 USB ports, but also 5Gbps HDMI and SD slots. It would have been nice to have a USB-C port, but overall it's great given the size, portability, and price! I like the layout - HDMI port on the end, 3 USB ports and 2 SD slots on the side. Looks and feels beautiful and durable. The operating display is helpful.
