I have used a hand snake to clean toilets for years. It worked, but it might be a bit time consuming and messy at times. Finally it dawned on me that I needed to buy an electric drill. This one worked great every time I had to use it. Blockages break down quickly and easily. I'm so happy I bought it. Cons: When I first tried it, it took me a little longer to figure out exactly how to use it. The instructions are quite obviously translated from a language other than English by non-English speakers. Sometimes almost funny. Now that I've learned to practice, it's no longer a problem. Cons #2: Difficult to clean the auger when retracted.
