I bought this trimmer as the first alternative to a conventional machine tool and I can definitely say that it does the job perfectly. You can also make a edging (with the help of relatives, of course, ahah) and trim the beard, or shave it almost to zero (the nozzle is 0.1 mm minimum - so as not to cut yourself. I have been using it for a long time, but I charged it only once - upon purchase, but I have never changed the blades and have not even thought to look at the frequency of replacement, because there is no hint that the blade is dull
