Worked pretty well, took a bit of time with heat gun to solder

I’d never used these before so wasn’t sure what to expect. I replaced the amp and radio in my car and needed to solder and seal a bunch of wires. This seemed like a better solution than soldering and shrink wrapping the old way or using crimped mechanical connections.I’m glad I used these as trying to solder in the tight spaces of a car would have been harder. I also bought a heat gun to do this right. While I didn’t experiment with too many settings it felt like I had to use max heat/fan to…

Pros
  • Works as advertised
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to traditional connectors

Works Great! in my review

I was a bit skeptical at first but they said theirs was better than others. They were right! I had previously purchased the same type of item elsewhere for considerably more money and it took 16 days to get only to find they didn't work as advertised. These connectors work nicely. Solder melts at a lower heat so you don't end up melting everything.I recommend these over others!

Pros
  • As described. Fast shipping. would buy from again
Cons
  • May not provide a strong enough connection for heavy-duty applications

Time will tell. on my review.

I got kind of an apprehensive feeling about these solder-seal connectors from Ti-Conn. I just got them a few days ago.FIRST USE: The solder ring doesn't look very melted around my wires. They are held together in contact, and verified for continuity with a meter, but they don't look quite right. And I applied WAY more heat than I normally would, approaching a minute with a TackLife 660° heat gun. The plastic didn't melt away leaving any holes, so that's a plus. It must be some hellacious…

Pros
  • Easy to use and way better than cheap connectors. Works great will be buying more for my collection
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use for those without soldering experience

Quick and thorough, durable connectors

Quick, solid, and easy connection if you have a heat gun. Slide in bare ends and apply sufficient heat to shrink the outer casing then keep going to melt the inner metal and you have finished making a great wire connection. I rewired my trailer with these and am very happy with the ease of use and the final connections. I need to find something more precise than my shielded heat gun to help place that heat source more precisely on the joints if I want to use them around wood or plastic.

Pros
  • Skeptical at first but does what it's supposed to
Cons
  • These are great idea, but they just don't work that great....

Easy to use and secure

I thought these were a total gimmick a few years ago when they started coming out, but when my local shop guys recommended them, I picked up a set. Chose this set on amazon for price and reviews.I can't tell water resistance yet, but these appear to seal better than my prior methods of connections. This made a few repairs for me very easily and also perfect for a few tight spaces recently where I would not have had the ability to get both hands and a crimp tool, or definitely not a soldering…

Pros
  • Great product and super easy to use!
Cons
  • Limited instructions on how to use properly

Good product good for me

It worked well for my car radio. but I think it was overkill buying a multi piece and size pack but it actually came in handy for other projects. I'm satisfied. Just a tip buy a decent heat gun these are not recommended to be heated with a lighter

Pros
  • I liked how easy it was to apply. I used it for my electric scooter and electric bikes.
Cons
  • May not provide as secure of a connection for high-amp applications

Solid waterproof connection

Very solid and clean water proof connection. Works and looks even better with a regular heat shrink over it. Limited guarantee or warranty information available.

Pros
  • Very easy to use. Creates a water tight seal.
Cons
  • Limited guarantee or warranty information available

Very Impressed in my review

I had never used these, but thought I'd try them as I replaced the LEDs in an inflatable. They were very easy to use and seem to make strong, water proof connections. I was very impressed and will use them on other projects.

Pros
  • works very well
Cons
  • May not work as well for high-temperature applications

Amazazing! - my new review

These are AMAZAZING! They seal great using a BIC lighter. Just make sure to move the lighter back and forth never lingering in one spot for more than a second (Pretty much the same as when you're sealing any shrink tubing). I was surprised to find that the solder ring melts very uniformly every time making it look like an expert solder weld consistently. It only takes about 4 seconds of waving the lighter flame before the solder ring melts so the whole process is much faster than expected.1.)…

Pros
  • Just turn the heat up a little bit.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to identify a specific wire connection to replace if needed

Exactly as described but…

It came exactly as described but following the directions didn’t work. We had to use a soldering iron to heat up the solder seal first because the heat gun was melting the plastic before even heating the solder.Once the solder melted enough and we used the heat gun and shrank the plastic and it worked perfect! So a little ingenuity and it was exactly what we needed. Also, the directions are very vague.

Pros
  • Like
Cons
  • May not provide a secure enough connection for critical applications

THey work as advertised

Overall I'm quite happy with them, the solder ball is a bit tricky to get melted all the way without the cover getting burned (used a heat gun)Almost didn't get these as someone had posted a review video that shows how one end is smaller than the other, but when used correctly that is a feature not a bug.

Pros
  • Easy to crimp and than seal with heat gun!!!
Cons
  • Can melt if heat source is too hot

Great product for my opinion

These connectors allow me to make highly secure and conductive connections along with sealed protection all in one step. All I have to do is strip my wires about 1/2 inch each, slide the wires into the connector and heat with a heat gun. The solder melts and provides a secure and conductive connection to the wires. The protective outer heat shrink is an insulator and protector for the connection. These make for very clean, secure and safe connections that ensure for high conductivity. My…

Pros
  • Worked great for rewiring my trailer
Cons
  • May be prone to loosening over time

I’m not testing the water resistance much as I needed these to make some connections for the stereo system in my car. But I don’t own a soldering iron and these worked great. Very easy to use and the adhesion made for a connection I feel confident about

Pros
  • fast, easy, tight, secure
Cons
  • May require additional training for proper installation

They do the job but are tricky

The ends give a water tight seal. Higher gauge take much longer to melt and the plastic will give out before the soldier heats up. I crack them before heating. Use a lighter or heat gun. Keep the heat moving.

Pros
  • These make a solid waterproof connection. Simple.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in any gas or hazardous environment

Works perfect in my review

I haven't use them for out door yet but they should be fine. Use them for led light and really easy to use. The solder melt fine. Will be getting more.

Pros
  • These where less then many other clips but they work just fine
Cons
  • May not provide as clean of a connection as traditional soldering methods

Worked Well on my review.

There were very easy to use. I used these to splice a plug into a wiring harness on my daughters car. They worked well and the installation was quick and easy.

Pros
  • Easy to use fast and works good
Cons
  • Not worth the inconvenience

I use these wire fasteners frequently for all manner of projects and they generally work well. I fully overlap the stripped wires in the middle of the tube under the center "melt ring" and give the center melt ring a light tap with a small jewelers hammer so the wires don't move. I've had the wires separate with slight movements, hence the hammer tap.I use a heat gun to melt the metal inside to fuse the wires but you need to use care and watch closely. The proper heat both melts the metal…

Pros
  • IT WORKS
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use in tight spaces or hard-to-reach areas
