My elderly dog has arthritis and has been unable to walk for a long time. It seemed like the perfect solution, the reviews looked promising so I bought it. The sizing and fit are quite nice, but that's where it ends. I tried wearing it with her in the front but the straps kept slipping off my shoulders (although I played with tightening and loosening them). The walk, which was for part of the remaining time, would quickly become quite problematic. With her on my back, the backpack was light and comfortable to carry, but she was less than thrilled and tried to run as fast as she could when she was released.
