I really like these shoes and am personally a big fan of Columbia shoes. I read the opinions and I knew the width might not be wide enough. The price went down so I couldn't do without it. I wear wide shoes and yes they are not as wide as other Columbia shoes, I took a pair I bought recently and compared them. I noticed that while this shoe is wide, it is maybe a half an inch narrower than my other Columbia purchase. I would recommend buying wide shoes even if you don't wear wide shoes simply because it would be more comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because it's a little tight for the wide shoes, but I leave the shoes on, maybe after a little wear they stretch a bit and are more comfortable.
