I received an ivory taffeta silk pillowcase after purchasing it from Revain. This was the first silk pillowcase I bought. I have one of panties that I got as a gift a few years ago. Comparing the price of the two at Revain, the Tafts pillowcase was around $35 (after taxes), while the Slip King pillowcase was around $115. The taffeta pillowcase wasn't worth a third of the price of the panties. So when I got it in the mail and took it out of the box, I was immediately struck by how soft it is! My hand ran over it so easily and it was very nice as I ran it across my cheek. Compared to the silk slip pillowcase, it feels almost the same if not softer. It was a nice thickness too, although it was a little see-through when placed on my pillow, which had a few blue streaks on it. It was probably the color. I also noticed that it has a hidden zipper to keep my pillow in place, which I liked. This is something that is not present in the case of Slip. When I went to bed I wanted to see how my hair would do, so I slept with my ponytail open. I usually use a cap as I have thick curly hair that gets caught in regular cotton pillowcases leaving a few strands. The pillowcase felt good against my skin all night and didn't give off an odd smell. When I woke up the next morning I found no hair on or near him, which made me very happy. Fast forward a few weeks and the pillowcase still looks just as good and I even managed to wash it. I now admit that I'm not the type to take extra precautions when washing delicate items, so I tossed it in the washer and dryer along with my regular clothes and it still came out super soft. Actually every time I washed it. It also didn't get dirty or torn, which is even better. Comparing with the slip pillowcase, the main difference (apart from the price) is that the slip pillowcase got dirty and torn after washing, so I would say that Tafts is made of high quality silk. All in all, this is a great silk pillowcase. It gives pricier brands an edge for their money and I heartily recommend it to anyone looking for it!
