Mine doesn't increase anything. I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about. However, it's a good way to watch videos on your phone hands-free. I don't always use a Bluetooth speaker, but it's a nice added feature. Sound and volume are okay. When the device is fully charged, you can use it as a phone battery, which is a nice bonus. You have to take the phone out of the case, but that doesn't stop you from using this device. The plastic vines are very fragile and easy to detach (the round one broke off), but they still look pretty and work without them. I just wish the one sold through Prime was a different color because I wasn't into orange. Luckily you can't see the orange part if you look at it head-on.
