Required for new computer

The best I can say is that it does what it's supposed to do, that is, provide for the use of thumb drives and mouse on my new Mac air 21, which I'm not so happy with. It does get very hot and I assume that means it's sucking the energy from my computer, which gets no where near the 12 hours advertised. It also blocks the power cord so you can't charge while it's on.
