First I liked this box. kept the mess and odors away. However, I only used it for a few months and then went back to the traditional tray. Reviews of how easy or difficult it was to empty this tray were mixed. I have to agree with those who pointed out that it is difficult to clean. Yes, as one reviewer said, it's light enough to pick up and drop. However, its shape and dimensions make it difficult to dispose of in any trash can. Unless you have very large bins inside, you will have to take it outside to throw it in a large bin. The part that actually holds the debris has an oddly rounded yin-yang shape that also makes it difficult to shovel and clean up. Also, this is really only available for kittens or cats with small physiques. Adult cats will have a hard time getting in and out of the box. All in all, this was a purchase I wish I hadn't made.
