Review on ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Compact Coleman Outdoor Folding Table: Lightweight & Durable Aluminum Camping Table in White by Bill Dooley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful light table.

I have a version with a wooden top. It got too close to the fire and melted on the hinges so I searched for another one and found this one. I have had and used this version of the table for several hikes. Despite the differences, it's just as durable as the previous version, and the metal and wood top is stain-resistant and easy to clean. This one is also much lighter than the previous version. Since it's a lot lighter than my old table, I decided to test it for strength. I pulled the table out of the trailer and placed it on a flat surface. (aka: Garage) I place 4-25 pound slabs on the table, one in each corner, observing the curvature of the legs and stress on the joints after each application. I never noticed a bow in the feet. The joints held up well and didn't break under pressure. After the fourth panel was placed, I slightly slid the table from side to side. The table stayed level and intact and didn't seem about to collapse. This appears to be due to the legs not being 100% vertical when properly installed, but pointing outwards which adds a bit of stability. This test was extreme, especially since we use it for playing cards and as a dining table. when cooking on trailers, an outdoor grill or on a fire. However, I can now guarantee that it will securely hold an evenly distributed 100 pounds. I will feel safe with my water jug standing on it, or even my children's extensive rock collection that is inevitable when camping, and I am not afraid of it collapsing and causing serious injury to anyone.
