Review on πŸͺ‘ Grey Rich Velvet Stretch 2 Piece Chair Cover with Elastic Bottom - Chair Slipcover Sofa Cover Furniture Protector Couch Soft with Arms - Machine Washable by Mike Starling

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for a square year-and-a-half chair / Fabric is very stretchy, SOFT and well tailored

** Would give 5 stars if bottom straps were included (see below for details) Due to size constraints in mine small house I had to buy a chair and a half to use as a "sofa". It's very square (and certainly not a standard size for a simple "chair") that tends to be more rounded overall. Also, as shown in the picture with frame dimensions - NOTE: I stretch this chair cover to its *maximum* size limitations. I was aware that this case was designed for frames with curved lines. And that there will likely be very little stretch left to pack and adjust because I'm using the max sizes. I bought this slipcover because I needed a new color of fabric as I am doing a little renovation of my living room and also wanted an affordable price. Also, with a square frame and a chair and a half, the slipcover options are VERY limited. Result. Well I'm damn happy with the result! The case fits surprisingly well, although there are a few creases at the top of the back temples. That's because the seams on the cover are sewn to accommodate the rounded curves of a typical chair. But there is enough stretch left in the cover (although I stretch it to its maximum size) that I could barely tuck in the back side edges, where the back pillow meets my arms, to hide the seam area that doesn't match my square framework. The cover barely reaches the back of the frame so it rides up a few inches - another reason why I need mounting straps in my case. PROS: Pretty surprised how soft, comfortable and beautiful this fabric is at this price! I LOVE the deep teal color which shows blue in the attached photos but actually has a green cast to the color. * Badly wrinkled when received due to compact packaging; but after 24 hours of sitting on the chair the wrinkles really go away - as my photos show.) Really stretchy - as advertised. The seams appear to be able to withstand this case when stretched to the specified maximum dimensions. Elastic band at the bottom of the edges of the cover to do a hug but . (See CONS). I can't say anything about spot cleaning or the washing result - I only wrote about this case a few days ago. But other reviewers say the fabric cleans well, so I trust that. CONS: (reason for only 4 stars) **NO BOTTOM STRAPS** to tighten all bottom edges and secure them under chair frame! This manufacturer includes these straps with all other sizes of covers and they should have done the same for chair covers. This issue has also been cited by many reviewers as a must, especially if your chair is smaller than the dimensions listed for that cover. You will have a very wrinkled shell when your chair is smaller again. I hope the straps here allow the case to stay in place and not move. Or, as in my case, I need these straps to tightly pull and fasten all the bottom edges together - side to side and front to back - to keep the bottom edges of the cover in place UNDER the edges of my chair frame. To fix this I ordered these elastic straps and they turned out to be a great solution for stretching the fabric from all sides to keep the bedspread in place: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable - Fasteners Suspender Mattress. -Recliner/dp/B07RB1SV6BI hope this review helps. :)
