Sometimes we don't have much time for dinner so I regularly cook a slow cooker full of soup, especially during the fall and winter when soups are a welcome warm meal or chili, eat it for dinner one night and then freeze the leftovers in these containers for future quick meals. They are beautiful and durable and I haven't had any leaks so far. If you drop one of these on the floor when filled with frozen soup, as has happened to me on occasion, it will likely break and have to be thrown out, but with normal use they are very durable. I hand wash because they are too light in the top rack of the dishwasher and tend to end up face up and full of water.
