Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Unleash Ultimate Suspension Performance with Quarq ShockWiz by Adam Gechem

Great tool! - Electric bikes

Very easy to set up and install. The main thing is to follow the instructions given during setup. I highly recommend watching Quarq setup videos on YouTube before installing. They have their own channel with good guides. There are separate videos for installation styles - top mount fork (standard), direct mount fork (inverted) and shock. The ShockWiz app actually shows real-time pressure and sag, which is pretty nice. ideal for setting your base pressure. I've only tested one bike so far (fork and shock) and I've already adjusted it, so I basically got confirmation from my "Balanced" mode testing. You need to be realistic and understand the limitations of your components - my fork (Fox Fit Grip) has no high speed compression setting other than the main compression arm already exposed. You have to live without the estimated 100%, but that's it. I know everything else is set up as I can get it. Now the real question about this $400 device is, do I really need it? Probably no. I don't race, I'm pretty good with my bikes, but I like a second pair of eyes with real data behind them. I plan to run Shockwiz on my other bikes (an FS XC and an HT SS) and see what it says. I know another guy with it and he races it. He gave him a few minor tuning suggestions. I certainly would have felt more insecure about keeping the Shockwiz if it was half the price. In this form I probably won't use it very often - only if I change something. I'll probably leave this because I'm a gadget geek who loves data. It's definitely a cool device and definitely worth trying. Most would probably be better off just renting one of your LBS if they have one as more stores seem to be getting them.
