I was very patient when setting up the saltwater aquarium. I planned everything carefully down to the letter T. I added Living Sand, Living Stone and Water. Now I'm slowly losing patience. I waited a week and got no ammonia levels at all, I added table shrimp and waited another week, nothing special. So I watched some YouTube videos and came across this one. Revain had this at the best price so I ordered it along with ammonium chloride. I followed the instructions to make the loop without the fish. After 8 days I was able to get the ammonia level down to 3ppm and within 24 hours it would be 0ppm. I thought I would take a water sample to the pet store for testing. The test showed 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 5 nitrate. I bought fish that day!
