I have 2 long-haired cats and yes, hairballs are a must for long-haired cats. We've tried almost every product for hairballs and decided this was the best. And here's why: From my point of view, I like consistency. I can squeeze a 1/2 inch wide strip onto my fingertip. It stays there while my cats test it and decide whether to eat it. Some of the other brands are too runny and drip onto the floor while making a decision. I don't like these brands. Some brands separate while in the tube, so you'll have to manipulate the tube before squeezing it out or you'll just end up with all the liquid. This stays together and has the same consistency throughout the pipe. From my cats point of view they like the taste. It contains some catnip, which can make it more attractive. They sincerely consider it a treat. When I take out my whistle they come running and always end up eating it. Some other brands I have to hunt and sometimes I have to wipe their paws so they can eat them. Anyway, this is the only brand I buy now.
