I've looked at SO many different heaters here on Revain and read as many reviews as possible to try to find the best one for me (looking for a new heater for my 10 gallon Betta as the old one stopped working after a few months old was also very inconsistent and cheap even before it broke). Is it just me, or presumably every heater ever made has utterly mixed reviews and an alarming amount of 1 star reviews saying "this killed my fish, worst product ever" etc. mixed with a lot of good reviews!? I was already losing hope because I didn't want to risk killing my fish. I was already beginning to think that maybe any heater sucks and you just need to choose the least bad option. lol Then I stumbled across it. I only picked it because I didn't see the horrible reviews that it would kill your fish lol. It turned out that this was the only viable option. I bought 50 watts for my 10 gallon tank. I am very happy with my purchase. I've only had it for 2 weeks so I can't comment on the durability of the product itself, but it's been working consistently since I've had it. Looks solid and well made, attaches very securely to the aquarium wall. I also bought 2 packs of third party digital thermometers at the same time to make sure the heater was running at the correct temperature. This heater keeps my tank consistently between 79.9-80.2. I've never seen her hesitate longer. Betta is also very happy with the constant temperature! :-) The heater might look a bit chunky at 10 gallons, but honestly that's not a problem because for me, stability and safety are paramount. I would also recommend getting a digital thermometer right away. , just for added security and ultra-precise temperature control.
