This has become my new favourite. Whenever I have a bare wire connection, e.g. For example, an entrance to a quick-disconnect connector, I just cut some of that stuff and wrap it around. I also press as hard as I can so it takes the shape of the wire and connector. It only takes a few seconds to become one. Then I can cut off the flat parts from the smaller side (if any). Just be very careful because if you touch it while taking it off the reel it will snag and bunch together making it impossible to take it off. At least you can cut it up and reuse it. Best of all, it's slippery on everything but itself, so you don't have to worry about it touching other surfaces or leaving dirty marks like tape. If you need to take it off temporarily, you can cut it and then stretch it when repackaging, or just pinch the edges and it will stay in place.
